  • He likes to use the smartboard, write or move words/pictures around. (bodily/kinesthetic)

  • He likes to listen to music when he is working independently. (musical)

Be the captain when we go to the computers lab: he is in charge of solving anybody’s concerns or questions about how to use wikispaces for Spanish

  • Use of manipulatives
He likes to fix things around the classroom : he noticed that the punch-holes didn’t work, I have three in the classroom, after his evaluation we decided to throw in the garbage one, he fixed the third one (02/05); I keep two “piñatas” in the classroom, he noticed that one of them was broken, asked me for tape and fix it (02/16)

  • Praising good habits: he enjoys taking notes, he has very good notes.

Grading accommodations:

  • Take the test in the library to avoid distractions
  • Allow stretching/out-of-seat break if the assignment takes more than 20 min.

He was absent for the Spanish Midterm, I allow him to take it home, he came the following day, he didn’t finish it all so he was allowed to finish it during class. He got distracted and didn’t finish it either.

He has suffered from ADHD and had taken medication for it. He stopped taken the medication because his appetite was being affected and he is very skinny. Due to behavioral issues and lack of concentration on his studies mom decided to put him back on medication. He started on Monday Jan. 23th (Adderal XR) a drug used for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adults.
